Novices Swimming Championship 2019

Kimaya Adams clinched the gold medal in the under 13 category in the 200M free
style event with a timing of 3:1:99 while Aaksha Gunatilala and Isha Vansandi won silver
medals in the 50m backstroke event with a timing of 46.69 minutes and at the 50m free
style event with a timing of 34.29 minutes in the under 13 category, respectively.
Kenuthi Seneviratne won two bronze medals in the U 16 age group for 50m back stroke
with a timing of 34.46 and at the 50m freestyle event clocking 41.78 minutes. Katlyn De
Silva was also successful in winning a Bronze medal at the 50m backstroke event with a
timing of 42.69.
Stafford Girls’ team capped off all these aquatic achievements by securing the overall
3rd th place in team ranking, in this championship wherein 24 schools participated.
